Why EyeSight needs the right windshield
EyeSight's two cameras judge distance by comparing their views, much like your eyes. The glass in front of them has to meet Subaru's optical specifications, and the cameras must be calibrated precisely after replacement. We match the correct glass for your EyeSight-equipped Subaru by VIN.

Is Subaru windshield replacement covered by insurance?
Usually, yes. If your auto policy was issued in Florida and includes comprehensive coverage, Florida Statute 627.7288 says the deductible doesn't apply to windshield damage — so a new windshield for your Subaru is typically $0, with camera calibration normally included in the claim when your vehicle needs it.
You also choose the shop: under s. 627.7291 your insurer can't require a particular glass company. Want to know what it costs without coverage? See our windshield replacement cost guide.
Why we ask for your VIN
The same model can use several different windshields depending on year and options — camera brackets, rain and light sensors, heated or acoustic glass, and head-up display zones. Your VIN tells us exactly which one your Subaru needs, so we bring the right glass the first time.
